If Everything Renews....

The room, in silence,
The heart that never danced to life,
Metal blades, plastic syringes—
I couldn't witness your final strife.
The room, now void,
Devoid of your laughter's grace,
No first steps, no first words,
I never got to hold your embrace.
Goodbye, my sweet,
With melodies in my ears,
Your voice, the only symphony,
I wasn't chosen to hear.
Your eyes instilled in peace,
Repercussion of an infidelity,
May you lie Forever in heaven's seas,
A travel log of 3 months,
In the moon's allure,
My only proof, a bruise,
Your reality made me distrust my solar plexus.
The demons that reside in your dad's head, rent-free,
His gentle plea impeded,
His face, a fortnight moon,
A car at 100, the clock at noon,
The depths of despair where I now dwell,
It was his desire to send you back to your angel.
If everything renews,
The worms nether the soil regrow,
The broken flesh recover unanimously,
Our lakeside concealed in willow,
You, my cruelest casualty,
Could your smile rekindle too?
An empty crib,
Father cleaning snow on the broken windowsill,
I envisioned your voice as a nightingale's song,
The room riddled with milk bottles and toy dinosaurs,
The aftermath of my best 3 months,
Did destiny deem me to be alone?
Didn't have the chance to scatter your grey dust,
But I hope your wings
Fly along with the butterflies.
I will forever miss you, my child.
